The consultation
Before any plant-based hair dye or clay balayage, I offer a consultation appointment.
Why this appointment?
Every head of hair is different, and every person too. That’s why the consultation is an essential step before scheduling your technical appointment (plant-based hair dye and/or clay balayage).
This time is dedicated to talking things through together — your project, your wishes, and your needs — without rushing, so the result feels right for you and for your hair.
This appointment is mandatory if it’s your first hair color or balayage with me. As I don’t yet know your hair, it allows me to later offer you the most suitable service possible.
It is also very useful if you’re unsure about what you want, or if you have known sensitivities or allergies.
During the consultation, we will cover several points:
→ your hair habits and home routine
→ your hair history (color, balayage, straightening… done in a salon or at home)
→ the current condition of your hair, its nature and texture
→ the feasibility of your project, respecting both your wishes and the health of your hair
→ any questions you would like to ask me
The patch test:
If we decide to go ahead with a plant-based hair dye, I will do a patch test.
This means applying the selected color to the inside of your elbow or behind your ear, in order to check that you don’t develop an allergic reaction before our next appointment.
Even though plant-based hair dyes are 100% natural, allergic reactions are still possible.
The strand test:
If we decide to proceed with a clay balayage, I will do a strand test.
This involves taking a fine strand of hair from a discreet area at the back of the head and lightening it. This allows me to observe how your hair reacts and to confirm that the desired result is achievable without compromising its health.
The consultation appointment takes place in person and lasts up to 30 minutes. It does not include a plant-based hair dye or clay balayage and is non-binding for future services.
